Treatment Issues
I offer tailored individual therapy for the following issues. Please reach out if you are ready to begin your healing journey.
-
Low Self-Worth
Individuals who struggle with low self-worth have a deeply rooted negative perception about themselves. They have persistent feelings of inadequacy, inferiority, and believe they lack value. People with low self-worth often believe that they are not good enough, unworthy of love, success, or happiness, and they may be excessively self-critical. People with low self-worth may struggle with imposter syndrome, excessive people-pleasing, or find themselves in unhealthy relationships because they don’t recognize they deserve better.

Attachment Trauma or Attachment Insecurity
Attachment trauma occurs when there is a significant disruption in the bond between a child and their caregiver, often during early childhood. These disruptions may occur due to inconsistent, neglectful, or abusive caregiving, or because caregivers were emotionally or physically absent. Attachment trauma can impact an individual's ability to form healthy relationships and maintain emotional well-being.

Relationship Difficulties
Human beings are born to connect with each other. When these connections are missing, lacking in intimacy, or full of conflict, we suffer. Whether you struggle with having the relationship you want with your partner, your parent, or another important other, we will work together to build the healthy, fulfilling relationships you seek.

Asian Mental Health
As an Asian-Canadian Psychologist, I am attuned to the cultural nuances and unique challenges faced by the Asian and children of immigrant community. I understand the pressures and expectations that can come from family and community, the experiences of racism and discrimination in Canadian society, and how these can impact your mental health. My approach respects and integrates your cultural background while addressing issues such as anxiety and perfectionism, relationship challenges, intergenerational and complex trauma, identity struggles, and feelings of shame and guilt.
